a glimpse inside
When I ask people what they think of me, I typically hear phrases and words such as ‘hard worker,’ ‘innovative,’ ‘reliable,’ ‘works well with others,’ and ‘a terrific communicator.’ However, I’m here to tell you I’m much more than these buzz-words make me out to be. I’m a person, too! While it’s true I may possess a lot of admirable and worth-while qualities, I’m here to tell you about the person underneath all that.
I enjoy living a humble life. A humble life filled with board games, coffee shops, frisbees, and obsessing over Google’s latest product. I also enjoy good design, fixing things which may or may not be broken, and creating short, biographical excerpts about who I am.

Acting as my assistant for over ten years, Nemo plays an integral part in how I arrived at where I am today. I’m not really sure where that is, but truth be told I could not be the multitasking magician I am today without his help. Trying to accomplish my everyday tasks while fulfilling his requests is daunting, yet I manage to keep him happy and he lets me see another day.
For us, communication is key. Our successful communication forms the tightly knit relationship we share. I know what he wants, and he makes it clear as to what he wants. Usually, it’s food. And although he can be a picky eater, I continuously brainstorm creative and strategic ways for him to enjoy his meals once again. I also employ this tactic when finding a new brand of cat litter. Or toy.
Come to think of it, maybe it’s actually me who is the assistant...
The most recent addition to the team is Gus. At nine years old, he still channels his inner puppy on a daily basis. He reminds us what it truly means to stay young at heart while constantly enjoying the world around us, regardless of what we can or cannot change.
His boundless energy, skills with a football, and ability to quite literally run circles around everything and anything, bring enjoyment to those around him. While I'm convinced this is all an act for the possibility of obtaining a treat, I will continue to be fooled and give in to his playful ways.
Gus clearly has an endless supply of love for Nemo no matter how futile his attempts at expressing them may be.
my areas of expertise
From initial conception of an idea to final distribution of the polished video, I practice pre-production, production, and post production all while maintaining the integrity of the brand. I collaborate with clients on creative direction, budgeting, timelines, and target audiences. I assist with creation of storyboards and spearhead any initial need for scratch tracks or animatics. Once production is underway, I operate any camera, lighting, or sound equipment. During post-production of video work, I digitize and transcode all applicable footage and begin the editing process. I also team with the traffic department by encoding and transmitting spots and assets to their respective local, regional, or national destinations including TimeWarner Cable, DG FastChannel, FOX8, and Extreme Reach.
Whether for microsites, broadcast television, social media platforms, or internal use, I edit videos for a wide range of clients, promoting and furthering their brand or message. My editing arsenal consists of a wide range of applications including Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Compressor, and Sorenson Squeeze. Terms such as bit rate, aspect ratio, color depth, transcode, and keyframe are a second language for me. I work independently and occasionally with a group of producers, designers, and developers to create a product tailored to the exact specifications and standards my client desires. My work has been featured in sales presentations, shown on regional television, and on screens in Times Square, Las Vegas, and in stadiums of professional sports teams.
A presence on the web is critical and almost necessary for any person or brand trying to showcase their work or ideas to the world. I have made it a point to equip myself with the knowledge of how the web works and how to conform to its standards of design. I use this knowledge of HTML, CSS, and WordPress to build a solution for those looking to enhance their online presence. I have a deep understanding in registering domain names, finding appropriate web hosts, managing databases, and handling the FTP of a site. Additionally, I have a working understanding of Adobe Flash and yes, handle social media requests such as Google+, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Like a moth to the flame, I am hopelessly drawn to current and emerging technology. I embrace change and innovation in everything from a shiny handheld gadget to putting a new spin on an existing workflow or system. I consider myself to be on the bleeding edge of all things digital especially in regards to communication and productivity. And quite honestly, I'm a sucker for the coolness factor of it all especially if it beeps or lights up. While some are terrified of the term ‘early adopter,’ I welcome the phrase with open arms as it paves the way for something even greater to be discovered. My curiosity also leads me to wonder how and why things work, as I am a natural troubleshooter and will reverse engineer a device or product any chance I get. I have always believed any sort of gadget isn’t truly owned until it’s disassembled, poked, prodded, and fixed into a better product than what came out of the box. Some say if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it. I say, break it, learn what makes it tick and rebuild it. Improve it. Get your hands dirty and create a new learning experience in the process.
